The Ford F-150 has a long-standing tradition of delivering a high-powered performance to drivers, and this tradition continues in the 2022 model year. The F-150’s 14th generation debuted in 2021 with significant updates throughout, and there are a few minor changes to the 2022 version. For example, you can now opt for the Black Appearance package on select trim levels. In addition, the 3.0-liter diesel engine that was available in 2021 is not offered for the 2022 model year. This leaves six powertrains available. The entry-level engine for the 2022 F-150 is a 290-horsepower, 3.3-liter V6 engine. The most powerful engine is offered with the Raptor trim level. It is a turbo V6, 3.5-liter, 450-horsepower system. Select trims are also available with a hybrid, 3.5-liter turbo V6 engine that offers 430 combined horsepower.
Other than the introduction of the optional Black appearance package, the exterior of the 2022 Ford F-150 is unchanged. This full-size truck expresses its character through its tall dimensions and confidently defined sides. The nose is prominent with a trim-specific grille design and stacked LED-outlined headlights. Select trim levels have up to 21-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, bed lighting, a power tailgate, power running boards, a two-panel moonroof, and other equipment.
The interior and safety features for the 2022 Ford F-150 are unchanged. All F-150 trucks this year come with gear like an air conditioning system, a touch display screen, smart device integration, a sound system, lane departure warning, and forward collision mitigation. Higher F-150 trims add lane-keeping assist, rear auto braking, a blind-spot monitor, a larger touch display screen, power-adjustable pedals, heated seats in the front and rear, wireless phone charging, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, a heated steering wheel, massaging front seats, a 360-degree camera, and other exciting features.
